Stephanie Regalado stood in front of 250 people as she accepted a community award while her 14-week-old unborn baby's still, tiny body lay furled within her. "If they only knew," she could begin hemorrhaging again at any moment, she wondered.

When her head hit the pillow at home later that night, she thought of others who may have shown up with their own if they only knew musings about those around them. 

She took these thoughts and created a wildly popular magazine column and now a series of books.

The stories in If They Only Knew are shared with the cloak of anonymity-without names, faces, filters, or frosting so readers experience each emotional journey as their own.
